The Flash: "The Man in the Yellow Suit" (SPOILERS)

Thought about that, but that would mean that the force field that he couldn't get out of to get to the tachyons was all a ruse. I mean, it could be true, but it seems like a lot of work when all he'd have to do is set the trap and pretend to be astounded when it failed.

Oh,. true. Carry on! Nothing to see here!

So, the forced field - what caused the fluctuation, no need to say who.

From the TV episode we don't know how RF was able to get through the forcefeild, but based on him saying that his powers we're the 'opposite' of The Flash, some have speculated that he is Professor Zoom who wasn't a Speedster but rather had 'the ability to slowdown time relative to himself' - ie he moved at normal speeds but the world around him was slower. Because Zooms powers are temporal he is not affected by physical affects -perhaps he was able to slow down the tachyons to the extent that he could bypass them

NB I don't know how Tachyons are being treated in the DC universe but irl they are theoretical Faster-than-light particles which could possible be used to send information backwards in time - which fits with the "Save Barrys Mom" theory
