D&D 5E Characters that annoy you (and/or the players who play them)

What annoys you as a player?

Me, I don't like when a majority of the party isn't heroic. There are very few fantasy books or movies where the heroes aren't Good (The "Elric" books come to mind though).

I despise consistently late players.

I don't like when players justify their actions by starting a sentence stating their alignment. "Well, I'm Chaotic Nuetral, so I..."

I hate cheaters.

I don't like the selfish player who always talks over other people.

I never liked intelligent weapons... Dunno why.

I don't like when people play Drow. You're either evil and annoying or you're a Drizzt clone. Why are there no Lawful Drow? A Drow Paladin would be cool! Or a Drow cleric of Pelor!

Anyway, what about you guys? What don't you like?

Players who justify their character's anti-social/unheroic actions by stating "But it's what my character would do.."

Players whose characters steal from the party. For me, that's when its justified to cut off that character's hand... or worse.

Drizzt clones. They tend to suffer. I've been told the chat logs of what I did to one in an online game is what inspired the SAW movies.

Gnomes are also on my list.

I'm pretty okay with a lot of drow characters. Drow paladins are fun to see.

There's actually not much that annoys me about certain characters; I like to think of myself as an easy going DM. (Spoiler warning following.)

What does annoy me, however, is when a player will put down another player for trying (and occasionally failing) to roleplay or be creative and interesting with their character. A good example is when I was playing the wizard in the starter set back when it first came out. I got the idea to use the severed head of a certain bugbear to scare the remainder of the goblinoids into thinking that the halfling rogue was an avatar of Maglubiyet (SP?), by using both Prestidigitation and Thaumaturgy. The rogue's player loves that sort of thing, I thought it would be hilarious, as did most of the others--however, one player, who shall remain nameless, said in a booming voice, "That's so stupid!" Now, it'd be okay if it was him roleplaying his character--but he wasn't. He didn't even try to justify it--just flat out said it was a dumb idea all around. The rogue's player and the cleric thought it would have been awesome.

However, its not the first time that that specific player has objected out-of-character to an in-character idea; the next time, I was the DM, so I just did what the majority wanted, and made him act it out in-character him trying to stop them. It was quite hilarious, because the other player's used their character's so well they ran rings around him.

Even murder-hobos don't annoy me (much), as long as they're roleplayed well--and, of course, it doesn't affect the party. My current group is a good example; we're doing the starter set again, since I'm DMing and introducing them to D&D for the first time. The fighter has slaughtered three people in cold blood, fed two of them (alive, of course) to the nothic, and chopped out the Thayan necromancer's tongue to keep him from using vocal components.

Its gotten dark this time. But, the players are laughing their bums off every five minutes, so they're happy. It doesn't matter to me that they fed the townmaster and his secretary to the nothic.

There was this one guy in an AL group who was always trying to play other peoples' characters for them. I'd say, "my character does X-" and then he'd interrupt me with this... stuttering, nascent voice to inform me that if he were me he'd do Y, or that he wasn't sure RAW allowed X when interpreted literally. We would all wearily explain to him that he was not me, or anyone else, and especially not the DM. He also tended to try to correct the math on other peoples' character sheets when, not being the person who made the character, he overlooked whatever feature was causing the apparent discrepancy. I don't mind people occasionally looking out for me to make sure I'm doing everything right, and this guy WAS right every now and then, but geez.

It's bad enough getting constantly interrupted, and worse when the person interrupts you just to waste the first five seconds saying "um" and "ah" and loudly stammering the first syllable of his objection.

Players who justify their character's anti-social/unheroic actions by stating "But it's what my character would do.."

Worse: Players who justify as above, and who then expect the members of the party to chase after their approval.

Im playing on a game where friend of mine says to me what to do every frigging combat round. It usually goes:
Me "I uhh... Let me think..."
Friend "you cast burning hands"
I usually take his commands only to consideration, but if i think i need to conserve spells, i will be casting cantrips, or do something else. It gets annoying, especially if he says to me to cast a cantrip x. Of course i am casting a cantrip at least.

I once in a while end up doing what he says, but un the end i control my character.
He also always calculates what damage i do with spells and such.

Also this one guy i played with once or twice, was reflecting his real life violence into games, he seemed so aggressive and always used intimidation with the words intestines and hanging. I think i overheard that he smoked weed as well or something, not sure.
