D&D 5E Chucking daggers: how do we throw two?

I was reading the Dagger Thrower thread in the Character Builds forum, and I want to create my own. The question I have is: how does this character throw two daggers? Is there a rule I'm unfamiliar with? Does two weapon fighting work with thrown weapons that can be used in melee?

TIA

I'm fairly certain that if you're wielding two weapons which can be thrown, or wielded in melee, you can attack with them in either manner with your offhand attack. You would need the two-weapon fighting feature from fighter or ranger to get your modifier damage to them, and you'd need the two-weapon fighting feat to be able to draw more than one weapon per action.

If you're talking about drawing and throwing, the rules on p. 70 of the free PDF say you can draw a weapon for free, meaning you can throw one in hand, draw a second, and throw it (if you have multiple attacks). If you have three attacks, have two in hand, throw with first hand, throw with second, draw and throw third.

Past that first free draw, though, there's no way i know of.

I'm not even sure 2 wpn fighting would work with thrown weapons.

Okay, but without the Two Weapon Feat, you can (assuming you've already drawn both daggers), throw two in a round as a first level character?

Yes.

Attack action to throw one like normal.

Bonus action to throw a second one that doesn't add your ability modifier to damage.

Boop.

Only if darts are your thrown weapon of choice.

It does, however depend on your DM's interpretation. If you allow any attack with a thrown weapon to be considered "an attack with a ranged weapon" then sharpshooter works, but if you interpret it that throwing a dagger is a ranged weapon attack with a melee weapon (which is what the rules suggest), then it wouldn't.

If you're dual-wielding, yes. Daggers are light weapons, you can dual-wield them w/o the feat. You won't get your stat bonus to dmg until 3rd level and you choose your fighting style and choose Two-Weapon fighting. The Dual-Wielder lets you draw a second weapon per action. Won't really be useful until 5th level though, so it's a good pickup at 4th. At 5th, assuming you don't need to draw your first round, you can Throw, draw, Throw offhand, draw offhand, throw 3rd, leaving you with one weapon still in hand.

Although it works, it falls apart at higher levels because you can't draw more than two weapons per action, but you get more attacks per action.

What does the line about darts mean? I'm a bit confused.
