Batman vs. Superman Official (not the shaky cam version!) Teaser

2016? We have to wait at least 8 months until the movie actually comes out?

Someone please remind me in 8 months. I'm going to quietly forget about this trailer and wait patiently for the time when it is only a couple of weeks away.

Movie looks interesting, I suppose, though I don't really get why Batman decided he had to step in and take care of things, but I don't care if it looked like the greatest movie ever made... I'm going to promptly forget about this movie until it is closer to actually coming out.

Better upgrade your forgetting ability. It's 12 months. The chances of me remembering to remind you at that point are close to zero, but I'll trust that the entire rest of the internet will make you aware when the time is right.

In other news - that's the most ingenious threadcrap I've seen in a while! Usually it's someone posting on a thread to let everyone know why they're not interested in that thread. You've cleverly incorporated a "but I will be in a year" clause! :)

The "politics" expressed in the comics are pretty petty, knee-jerk reactionary.
Better than no politics in the movie. Why should Fox have all the fun?

Anyway. In 12 months, when I've heard Ben Afflec's (I'd check my spelling, but it's Ben Aflek) robo-I'm-too-lazy-to-Christian-Bale-growl-voice 162 more times, I will definitely not be interested in this movie.

I am interested in the movie. I even watched the trailer. But then I saw the 2016 and I dunno, my interest just sort of disappeared considering how long it is to wait. And I knew it was at least 8 months till January, but yeah, later than that means a longer wait.

And yay for the internet to remind me! I can't ... can ... wait. :)

Reactions are pretty negative to it. Fascinating when compared to Star Wars' trailer. Yet B v S brings more less nostalgia and more meat. I think I answered my own question.

If there's more meat, it wasn't in that trailer. Both the Superman and Batman of that trailer seem far removed from their normal portrayals, so it's basically just two people I don't care about preparing to fight each other for reasons I don't care about.

I love these things.

This utterly fascinates me. I *love* this "how people would really react" take on the DC universe. I liked that aspect of MoS, and I like what I'm seeing here. Sure, candy-coated quippy movies have their place, and are very good, but Marvel has that market locked down; I don't need to see 15 DC movies using the exact same formula, too.

That aside - brighter suit, catching Russian spaceships, seems there's some heroics in there too!

Good. We get "new" characters and stories instead of the same old. And seriously, "far removed"?

The meat is that we have a basic idea about the B v S movie. Superman is seen as Jesus for some and a menace for others. Batman will suit up to take care of business cause dead parents. The take on how the world would really react to Superman is interesting. The Nazis with Superman's symbol on their arm kneeling before him is intriguing.

What did we learn about Star Wars' plot? Nothing. What we got was nostalgia (Luke speaking, his robotic hand, Leia's hand, Solo + Chewie) and what the new Trooper figurines some fans will buy look like.

The portrayals actually have been close to what the trailer shows at least batman's attitude towards sups, which as i commented up thread has been mainstream since DKR for the most part.
