"Inflammarae," Cass intoned, then held forward the outstretched palm of his sword hand. The skin on his hand glowed to ochre, then a fifteen-foot cone of searing orange flame burst into the square occupied by the cobra. Cass smirked. The heat felt good, and the flicker of blue-orange fire was pleasing.[/section]

Regardless, Cass casts his mystery spell, burning hands, which releases a cone-shaped burst up to 15' away from Cass that deals 2d4 fire damage, Reflex save DC 16 for half damage. If the cobras have spell resistance, it will apply here. If Cass can catch both cobras in his cone, he'll try to do so. If not, then he'll focus on the southernmost cobra. Burning hands.[/sblock]

Combat - Round 1/2 - Wrap Up

Nelleon merely grunts in frustration at Niles as he is attacked. The man then attacks the 1st cobra to his left.
The attack bounces off the creature's metal hide.

Cass stepped forward and into position directly behind Niles. When Niles fired his spell into the room, Cass joined suit, and aimed a similar spell at the southernmost cobra. "Inflammarae," Cass intoned, then held forward the outstretched palm of his sword hand. The skin on his hand glowed to ochre, then a fifteen-foot cone of searing orange flame burst into the square occupied by the cobra. Cass smirked. The heat felt good, and the flicker of blue-orange fire was pleasing.
The flames wash harmlessly over the metal snake. (rolled 12 to overcome spell resistance)

Armides hesitates a moment then summons a blessing from Asmodeus. He wonders if Timmeon will notice.

Timeon cowers in his corner with his face turned away from the battle.

Niles makes a short hop, swinging the door the rest of the way open with one hand and raises his hand to shoot a blast of fire with the other. "Nice, Cass." complements Niles sincerely.

The metallic cobras continue to attack Nelleon. Cobra1 (AC: 19, Damage: 5) and Cobra2 (AC: 7, Damage: 7). I need a Fortitude roll for Nelleon DC: 11 for any attack that hits.

Silhouette scowled slightly, then looked back at the man she'd charmed. An idea took hold. He was no longer valuable as an informant...but perhaps he could serve other uses?

She went to him and offered her dagger. "It's all I have, but we may need your help to prevail against these things," she said. "I am a spellcaster, and can do without it if need be. Better we all have a chance to fight than selfishly hoard the weapons, yes? Now...steady your courage, and think of the brave knight we seek to find and aid. We must prevail!"
