Chris said that you can encounter a Demon lord as early as 3rd level in the Adventure.

OMG. Ok, my players are already terrified of the Underdark as is normally and try to avoid it. This actually sounds like a fun adventure. I'd love to see how the designers are introducing all of these super powerful demons all in one space within a span of 15 levels.

Not many groups know they are in the Underdark at the moment and the Underdark is a huge place that most groups don't keep too many tabs on. Some Demonlords are unaware that others are even there. And the ones that do are working to undermine the others.

Yes, MILES underground where no one else goes, where scrying might not work, where we're talking about hyper-intelligent beings that aren't just bags of hit points and special powers. Granted, this sounds too, um, overloaded? Is that the word? @JeffB mentioned jumping the shark. Far too soon to say that without seeing the adventure. For now I'm saying it's the most unique take on the Underdark DnD has tried yet with an official product.

I think I heard that this is a Green Ronin product, not Sasquatch. I could be wrong, and there is certainly no way to get that info easily from the WotC web site.

Incidentally, I'm considering this to be the first 5e Greyhawk release. I mean, it is in the underdark, Mezoberwhatever is just a renamed Erelhei-Cinlu, and the demon lords are all Greyhawk baddies. Hell, Graz'zt is Iuz's pappy.

Delete Drizzle, insert Iggwilv, and go go go.

I still can't believe it's only going to be 1st through 15th.

Chris also confirmed that not all of their Adventure Paths will go for that Level Range.

All of the Demon Lords will be doing their own thing during the Adventure as well.

Demogorgon is rampaging around Menzobaranzan for example, Orcus as revealed by Chris Perkins ended up in the middle of a Mind Flayer community that recently lost it's Elder Brain. Orcus proceeds raise the Elder Brain as an undead. (No clue whats going to happen there.) Zuggtmoy is appearntly going to go through a sort of marriage ceremony with a City sized Fungus.

So yes this will be weird and cool.

Hard to believe these powerful beings are all on one planet, all underground, all in one small area. These are rulers of planes......not just demons.

Well, the Underdark can go down for miles. The surface world only goes up for under a mile. There's potentially more room below than above.

And this is hardly the first time D&D has had major demons/devils/demi-gods encountered at lower levels. T1-4 you had 8th level PCs going up against Zuggtmoy and possibly Iuz. the GDQ series had 12th-14th level PCs going up against a ton of stuff, including Lloth. And who can forget Ruins of the Undermountain. That place is HUGE.
