Except the part where Clark is working at a bar and takes the D-bag truck driver's truck and wraps it around a light pole. He has power, and he knows it. He is also not a complete idiot and should be able to realize that if he tears down a building which is more than likely occupied, people are going to die.
I just want to point out that Superman still doesn't seem to get it. He punches Darkseid through several buildings, most likely killing a few people. Then he slams him down into the street without even looking to see if there was anyone down bellow. Superman is a jerk.
Eh... that's debatable. There really wasn't much of an explanation of his power development. He learned to fly, but it looks like it took him a bit of time. How? Not sure. The montage was pretty short, so it could have been a few minutes or a few months. Zod learned to fly pretty quickly. That shows that this isn't something that took time to develop. Flying is apparently a power they have that they just have to try and use. Not something that they need to reach some milestone in order for it to kick in.
I'm pretty sure that the realization that a whole city is pretty much ruins, and a bunch of people have died because of his battle would be far more jarring.
Technically that's incorrect. He killed a bunch of people while fighting Zod and throwing Zod through buildings. Hell, Zod threw Superman through several buildings. Supes must have hit, and torn through, at least one human in the buildings he went through.
I hope so. It really appears that the only character DC is able to make a good movie out of is Batman. Even then, it's short-lived. Batman seems to have a three movie limit. After that, you get Bat-nipples.
I'm guessing it's the mech-suit voice only. At least that's what I'm hoping for. If that's the voice even without the mech-suit, it's going to be pretty ridiculous.
Looks interesting to me. I'll definitely check it out.![]()
In all fairness, DC has never really tried that many other characters in live-action films. They have had a fair amount of success on live-action T.V. shows lately though (namely Arrow, Flash, & Gotham), and before that Smallville was pretty successful (I think it ran for 10 seasons).
Green Lantern, I believe. Can you recall the last time that DC attempted a live-action superhero film that wasn't Batman or Superman?
Green Lantern, I believe.
It definitely does look interesting. I'm not a Deadpool fan, but I'll definitely go check it out.
In the heat of the fight with Zod, did he realize those things? Or did he only realize how bad it was when it was over? Even if he had realized he was causing a lot of destruction, having been a superhero for only about a couple days, would it have occurred to him to take the fight outside of the city? If he tried, wouldn't Zod (who was going already going to destroy humanity to revive Krypton) destroy the city anyway? Or, even if Zod wouldn't destroy the city, would he not follow Clark? Would he recognize the weakness and use the time he was given to become stronger in our atmosphere? And how do you answer all those questions when the fate of the world is in the balance while you are being beaten on and thrown through buildings?
Looks annoying, although I was never a fan of Deadpool. Wasn't he a Rob Liefeld creation?
