D&D 5E MPMB's D&D 5e Character Tools

(...)15 is the highest score using point buy. Would we be able to add that blurb for novice players since this is now a character creation sheet?****

Also, when choosing things like Human (variant), would we be able to pop a window up asking the player to choose ability scores to increase?

Lastly, you might want to change the Human Variant wording when calculating Ability Scores under Improvements from Race and Feats to "Human: +1 to two different ability scores of my choice." That way it stresses they have to be different scores and can't choose the same one twice.
I've added a little clarification to the Ability Score pop-up that you can have only max 15 when using point buy.

I think having a pop-up for choosing ability score improvements is a little bit redundant considering all the information is available in the Ability Score pop-up. It would also require quitte a bit of coding for just a couple of races who benefit from this.

I've changed both the Human (variant) and Half-Elf ability score improvements texts to be the same as in the PHB.

">> Add "day" to Limited featured recovery buttons?
They are already there, but in your next post you recommend removing them so I guess you know they are there already...
"

I see the SR and LR buttons, I don't see the Day button.

Also on the topic of day vs long rest, many items have stuff that resets every dawn, not every long rest. Just thought I would point it out.
I don't know what went wrong, but I totally read your previous posts as if you were talking about the dropdown lists and not about the purple buttons. Having one button for every option in the dropdown lists makes sense, so I've added that in the new version.

I know you have said that the 7.5 version of your character sheet is clean but after I downloaded it, my PC tweaked out. I ran scans and removed a couple of viruses.
One of the things Avast removed was the 7.5 Character sheet. I have been afraid to download it again. Will you be getting it tuned up according to Avast? I really like the sheet but while it is still flagging as a Trojan I am very weary of it.

Why is this version tagging when the other versions did not? And are you sure a hacker didn’t tag your software with a virus?
Noah Ivaldi already replied to this with the correct information. I just want to add that here is the place where you can let Avast know about any false positives.

Then concerning Arcane Recovery, I guess that all the evidence is in favor of a RAI interpretation of recovery after a long rest instead of once per day. I was being a bit stubborn about this because I really want this sheet to have the official rules. However, there is little difference between once per day and long rest most of the time, when using the non-variant resting rules. More importantly, the "Natural Recovery" feature of Druids gives almost the exact same benefit, but does recover after a long rest. All this has made me decide to change Arcane Recovery to a long rest after all :)

I've removed the "Day" option from the dropdown and replaced it with "Dawn", because that is what a lot of magic items use.

This brings us to version 7.6 that has some added clarifications.

Character Sheet/Generator v7.6 (21-8-2015) has the following changelog:
- Added a second “Ability Save DC” that appears automatically when you multiclass with two classes that require ability save DCs
- Changed “Arcane Recovery” to recover on a “long rest” instead of “day” because it is RAI (although not RAW)
- Removed the “Day” option from the Limited Features Recovery dropdown list and replaced it with “Dawn” for usage with magic items
- Added a Reset button for Limited Features that recover at dawn (as per the suggestion of Headbomb)
- Fixed issue with the HP tooltip after a reset
- Added a reminder to the Ability Scores dialog that the maximum ability score is 15 when using Point Buy (as per the suggestion of Liquidjim)
- Changed the wording of the ability score improvements of the races “Human (variant)” and “Half-Elf” to match those in the PHB (as per the suggestion of Liquidjim)
- Fixed the equipment line menu for line 24 (top right column) incorrectly showing the option “move to right column”
- Added the suffix “(from page 1)” to the equipment add menu options “Armor & Shield” and “Weapons”
- Fixed the bookmarks (forgot this after the redesign)

I think I found a minor issue for you with the Magic Item menu on page 3 you added in 7.4 (still present in 7.6).

"Insert Empty Line" copies all magic items down one line correctly, but it doesn't clear the line it was used on.

Thanks for letting me know! I missed something when copying and adjusting the equipment line menu code for the magic item menu. It should work in v7.63.

Excellent work, man! This is amazing.

I noticed another nitpick in the feats: Svirfneblin Magic has "Disguise self" with the S decapitalized, but it should be capitalized. You also have a lot of semicolons where there should be periods and new sentence beginnings. It probably became habitual when you were writing out the class features; you had to do so there in order to conserve space, but, in the feat lines, switching the semicolons to the periods that they ought to be won't overcrowd anything. If you want, I can come up with a full list of such instances when I'm doing the final proofreading run on the class features, but I think that it's easy enough to tell what should be changed on your own if you just take another look at them.

I am loving this new version of the sheet!

However, in the Actions section, you have it say "As 1 attack - Disarm / Grapple / Shove". There is no general Disarm ability in 5e. There is an ability that the Battle Master fighter can choose as one of his maneuvers, however.

Disarm and Mark are taken from the DMG. 'Climb onto a bigger creature' is omitted, though.

Knowing that Disarm & Mark are from the DMG and Adventurer's League does not allow anything from the DMG with the exception of Magic Items (and certain rare exceptions), I suggest that those two actions to "turn invisible" or be removed when the Adventurer's League toggle is "on." Since my group uses printouts instead of laptop/tablet/smartphone, a tooltip will not help.

I have noticed that in the armor section, if I have a bonus to my dex of 2 and wearing plate armor, the bonus to dex still applies when in the book it says I lose the dec bonus to ac.
This was posted in the comments section of the download, but that section doesn't work well together with Tapatalk and I don't get emails from new posts, so I prefer not to use it.

As for the question, I'm unable to recreate your issues with armor and dex modifiers. So first the most important question: are you using the right software for this pdf? It only works with Adobe Acrobat Reader (or Pro) XI or later (DC is the latest). It does unfortunately not work on Android or iOS devices. You will also need to have JavaScript enabled (which it is by default).

Nitpicking as always I see ;) I'll remove all the semicolons from the feat descriptions. I'll send you the JavaScript file for the other texts as well, so you can proofread everything (if you want to).

I didn't know that stuff from the DMG is not allowed in the Adventurers League. In the next version the "Adventure League" button will remove the actions from the DMG from the first page. Those actions are Overrun, Tumble, and Disarm. I can't easily remove them from the third page without it looking really ugly. I think people playing in the Adventurers League have enough knowledge about the game to know what action options they can use, and otherwise the DMs can still allow the actions. As far as I can see in the rules for Adventurers League, only the character creation rules in the DMG are not allowed. For example, I would think that having some rules about how to move through an enemy's square is not at all unwelcome.

Is there a way to implement multiclass?
Multiclassing is supported by both the Character Generator/Sheet and the Spell Sheet Generator. I'm guessing you are asking about the Character Generator/Sheet, because the Spell Sheet Generator is pretty obvious. All the information on how to multiclass is in the tool tip (mouseover text) of the "Class" field. In short you should enter each class followed by its level. So for example: "Fighter 1, Barbarian 2" for a character that is both a 1st-level Fighter and a 2nd-level Barbarian.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading Character Sheet/Generator v7.63 or the complete files zip?
I just tried this and have no issues with downloading any of the things you mention. Might it be that you have Avast virusscanner?
