D&D 5E [OOC] Leif's 5E Alpha Game

I have a personal soft spot for Gnome Wizards, so Xazervassen Frizzlefrassen is pretty much a lock for a spot in the game. Might have to send the Half-Orc to the Admissions Committee, who are notoriously daft and "foot-draggy," so that could take weeks to reach an uncertain result.

Still, Radaceus, it is your decision which one to submit.

'Ah splendid! just let me gather my things! I'll be right there, one second,' the gnome disappears into his dwelling. Much banging and rummaging ensues. A few mumbles and an excited 'aha!' later, the gnome emerges busily stuffing quills and parchment into a scroll case as he marches right past you. Several steps later he stops, looks around, looks back...'well!?'

I'll assume I can post in the Character thread, and post Xaz's completed character there. cheers!

Let's wait on that, and have all the new characters posted to the RG at one time. Recruiting will be open until we get the last spot or two filled, or until we decide to cut and go with what we've got.

Please don't post to RG just yet, thanks.

Well, shoot! You jumped the gun on me already! Shame on you!!

See what happens when you assume??

I like the gnome fits in well with the group. He shall be an interesting case to study, maybe we can compare notes on the different kinds of magic:)

My apologies! I think I was to much in character with his disregard for formalities. I really am new at this!

Also, your sheet says our gnome knows three cantrips, but he has four listed in his spellbook.

He get's a fourth cantrip, Minor Illusion, for being a Forest Gnome, it's mentioned under his Racial Traits

4th cantrip : I knew that! Should have remembered it was something like that, but you still should have put 3 + 1 (racial) or something, to prevent your poor DM from having to think too much.

Xaz, purposefully reading through his notes, muttering to himself about the maths being wrong, stops mid tracks, looks around cocking his head to listen. "Did you say something?" he asks, while turning toward the person who was just with him, to find nobody there. "Curiouser and curiouser!" he exclaims. "Must be imagining things again', pursing his lips, he scribbles next to one of his spell casting treatises: Minor Illusion-Gnoming in on Reality.

Having never met his parents, Rathalos always felt alone. Growing up with no one to care for, he joined the local army when he reached adulthood. His fellow soldier, a human named Osgood Varancie, saved him from a group of Orcs in his first battle. From that moment on he knew his duty was to protect his fellow man. Long after that a senior officer sent his squad on what seemed like a suicide mission. Having none of that, Rathalos convinced his fellow soldiers he could find a better way to succeed in their mission. Little did he know, the path he took them on led to a great ambush which he was the only survivor. Even his only friend Osgood perished. Not being able to bear the pain of it, Rathalos resigned from the army and spent much time drinking away his sorrows. Having run short on coin, and with few skills to speak of, he has begun looking for mercenary work.
