D&D 5E [OOC] Leif's 5E Alpha Game

And though , the gnome is actually growing on me, his Rp actually coming better than I thought for being both a race and a class I dont normally lean towards. I will still put together a few Healer types, just to have a look, and let you guys all decide, I dont mind playing anything really as I have Dm'd 5E only, never played a character yet. I've learned new stuff already just from fleshing out the wizard, amazing what you learn by being in the driver's seat, and not being the referee

I'll revert to this post later with

Half-Elf Druid

High Elf Paladin

Human Cleric
In all seriousness though, I think you should just play whatever seems the most fun to you, I mean I think that's what everyone else did

True,
like I said, I dont mind, for me playing something new is just as fun. It's the 'playing' and the 'fun' that are paramount. I like the challenge of new things, for instance, though i often play melee ( our PnP group of 30 years still playing 2e) i find a way to play a different fighter every time.

That being said, the characters i put forth will be something I will enjoy playing. I find it helps for us to be diverse, cover the bases, and from a realist bent...a group of adventurers would do just that in most aspects when they fell in with each other, except for those unussual circumstances when they are thrown together by circumstances against their will ( slave pits, shipwreck, etc)

Yeah, I mean if you'll have fun with a healer, go for it. I think I may actually play a Paladin for the first time once I'm more familiar with the system now that they aren't restricted to LG

turning on my gnomish reasoning, 17 intel, leads me to deduce- anyone knowledgeable of Kalgoorlie, either works in mining, or resides in Australia, New zealand :)

I am in Perth, but am an ex-pat American, now a card holding Aussie. They'll let anyone in down under I tell you!
Perth was going to be my only choice, but I had half a continent to cover, so I thought I'd better throw in a couple of other choices just in case. Back when he U.S. was just beginning its Mad Descent into Hell, my dad used to threaten to move to Australia regularly. The biggest hold-up was that my mother is deathly afraid of airplanes and ships. We used to joke that we'd have to chloroform her, and keep her sedated until we got there.

Now that we've all become accustomed to breathing coal dust and snuggling up to Old Scratch every night, the stinking bugger, I think we're stuck here.
