Upcoming Adventure Review

Does anyone know what happened to Systole and Satin Knights? And, for that matter, if either will be back? Both seem to have pretty much disappeared within the last year, after being major, long-time contributors to the community.

I'm relatively new here, but if you are going to leave, shouldn't you at least say goodbye? Even if it's months later? I get that sometimes a health issue could prevent that, but it doesn't seem right to just bounce.

They could be military. as for a health issue, I can see it hitting one of them, but not all three. I am wishing I knew what is going on, but. . . . . .

I too wish there was a heads up, but oh well.

I read something about Systole receiving a mandatory promotion with increased responsibility. Military is one possible explanation there. Regardless, RL issues are quite understandable. From my newbie and selfish perspective, it is disappointing to think I might not get to play with them. Hopefully they are able to eventually make their way back to us.

Did Tailspinner leave recently? I haven't seen the name for a while and I've been reading all kinds of stuff. I would have guessed it was longer ago.

EDIT: Anyway, I didn't mean to get off topic in this thread. The original point was related to having few active judges.

I know it is frustrating. I am sorry for you new folk. We all hope they come back safe and sound. Especially me.

I left for a good long while before life allowed me to be active again. There's a decent chance they may return at some point as well. One difficulty with forums is that life can change fast enough, due to a wide variety of reasons, that formally announcing an elongated departure can be tough if those changes eat enough time and/or limit effective internet time.

So I got some GM ideas kicking around for a level 1-2 adventure, but I had a few generic questions first.

How many encounters can I/should I run?
Is there a target amount of experience I should go for?
Is this the right thread for these questions?
Are there more resources for GMing at LPF besides PMiller's guide?
