Just got my SCAG and can't wait for the sheet to get updated with the new class options. Best Sheet ever, thanks for your efforts. I'm sure you're already working on it but if you have an ETA that would be amazing.

I don't own SCAG and probably won't for some time because my group is not currently interested in the material. So for now there is no ETA and I'm not working on it. It would be great if somebody who does have SCAG is willing to transcribe it for this sheet.

Transcribing would entail making the entries for the class features you see when you enter a class. I could provide you with an example of how the other classes are transcribed.

The hardest part is to shorten all the information as much as possible without losing the meaning. Also, the line breaks have to be added manually, so everything has to be tested to fit in the fields. All that takes quite some time, as you can imagine.

Sure if you'd like to provide me an example I can take a look and see how time consuming it might be, i'm sure others are interested in it as well, so maybe splitting the load would be possible as well.

Hi,

thank you very much for this marvelous character sheet/generator. It really saves time and effort and is well organized. The underlying rules are very transparent.

I'm relatively new to D&D next, this helped a great deal. I have some further questions about the sheet:

Is there an option to purchase equipment? Maybe I missed it. It would make custom equipment for a starting character a lot easier.

What does the exp. row mean in the skills?

I also have some layout improvement suggestions:

The advantage/disadvantage layout could be improved imho. A suggestion would be a round pocket where you can choose advantage/disadvantage (adv/dis) via drop down selection. All those little boxes seem a little distracting visually. Is there a way to get advantage for initiative checks btw?
The + in the optional skill column hides some text if you type in Alchemist's supplies, but that is really very minor.
The hit dice section is not ideal imho. The rest of the sheet is very well designed to show the rules behind things. I would merge the field for die and con, putting a small 'd' in front of it. I would also put the 'd' in the same colored field. That way, it would be clearer what exactly you roll for each hit die you use during short rests.
So for a 3 level Fighter with 14 con it would look like:
number of dice | hit die(+con) | used
[3] | [d10+2] | [blank field]

And there is a small bug I found (downloaded reader dc today):
After I added a spellbook to my equipment I then added a mundane book. The mundane book did not appear but added to the weight. I couldn't delete it. I only managed to properly add the book by temporarily shifting the spellbook to extra equipment.
If you cannot reproduce it though, don't worry. Sometimes I'm really blind on both eyes ;)

Thank you again for your great work!

Regards,

Spock

Oath of Vengeance fix: Oh, bahaha, that explains it, then! I thought that it sounded an awful lot like what I wrote and wondered how I managed to fail to save that change or something. xD

The sheet is using more redundant code now, which does make a difference, but I find that most of the lag is occurring simply because Adobe is bad and should feel bad. Ever since Reader DC's last update, it hasn't been able to handle anything smoothly. My DM and I both had a ton of freezing issues. :/

Race options: Nice! You mixed up the mental minotaurs, though. Cunning = wisdom, and intellect = intelligence. Other than that, great job!

Spock: "Add equipment" lets you add them. Subtracting from your gold automatically requires more unnecessary coding. We just add the equipment and change the gold step-by-step.

"Experienced." See the bard and rogue features.

The adv/disadv selection dot would be nice to digital users such as myself, but the sheet is intended to be used in an analogue manner, which would not work well with this.
Feral Instinct (barbar 7) and anything that grants advantage to DEX ability checks, such as Enhance Ability: Cat's Grace do this.

That's a coding error. The sheet does not distinguish the difference between "spellbook" and "book," so when you added the "book," it just saw you add a second spellbook. If you look at your quantity area, you'll notice that there is now a 2. MPMB should be able to make the text-recognizing code a little more stringent to account for this (People who write "spellbook" as "spell book" can just get with the times and use it as a compound word.), but until then, moving the spellbook item isn't necessary; you just have to make it no longer say "book" while you're adding the new book. Here are such workarounds to get you by until this can be coded differently: You can cut the text or part of it, then paste it back in. You can simply add a symbol or space to interrupt the "book" part of "spellbook," then delete that symbol. You could just manually add a book. It's just four letters and a 5 in the weight section, after all.

Great to hear you like it! Most of your concerns have been answered by Noah Ivaldi and I agree with most of his things.

"Exp." means Expertise (and not Experienced as Noah Ivaldi wrote, probably a tiny mistake).

Buying stuff is intentionally not automated, but you do get to see the prices of everything in the menu.

Adv/Dis cannot be a drop-down box because that won't work for people who print it.

The tool at the bottom of the list of skills (I guess that's what you mean with 'optional skill column') has a fixed font size as to make it the same as the rest of the list. So there is a limit on how many letters you can use.

Redesigning the HD section would only work as you suggest if nobody would want to edit it by hand. The idea behind the sheet is that you can manually change anything you want. This way you can add homebrew material. If it would auto generate the text "d10+2" as in your example, people editing it would have to adhere to the exact same syntax or see the sheet spew out errors. With the way it is currently set up, people can't unintentionally break it. And basically it still says "3d10+2", just spread over three boxes ;)

The whole thing with the book and spellbook is that the code checks for the word in the cell. The word "book" is found in "spellbook" so it adds one more in that row. I'll take a look at my code if I can somehow cahgne this behaviour.

The fact that all the images are no longer part of the background, but part of the 'form' makes for a bit slower sheet. Also, the code for racial options and class options is very much patchwork because I'm no IT professional in any way and this is my first try at coding. So probably I'm using a lot of redundancies and unnecesarry workarounds making for a sluggish code. On the other hand, it is true that Acrobat is crashing and not the code that is crashing, but that is probably because Acrobat is trying to prevent my code from making any changes to the system (because of security concerns) and limiting it like that can be pretty taxing for your CPU.

Then the Minotaurs, I did not mix up anything. Cunning is intelligence and intellect is wisdom. Cunning has always been something defined by your intelligence score, while, as I figure it, intellect in this context means "knowing 'why'" and can thus be seen as wisdom. I took this division from the way it is written in the Minotaur entry in the Waterborn Adventures Unearthed Arcana:

Waterborn Adventures Unearthed Arcana said:
From a young age, you focused on one of the three virtues of strength, cunning, or intellect. Your choice of your Strength, Intelligence, or Wisdom score increases by 1.
