D&D 5E Tunnel Fighter + Veng Pal 7 + Command (Approach) + Polearm Master

In fact I was thinking in use my bonus action with misty step while the target is running, but I forget I can't cast a spell with the action and bonus action in the same turn.
You can if it's a cantrip, but yea, you can't dissonant whispers + misty step.

Though i was still thinking command, and thus off-turn and thus no bonus action.
dissonant whispers does allow you to use a bonus action.

But anyways, i doupt tunnel fighter will survive in it's current form, at the very least, add "once per creature".

sentinel is a good restriction to tunnel fighter in fact.

one question about AoO and war caster. When someone leave the reach, can I move back to attack with eldritch blast without desadvantage?

No. You make the OA before they move. Otherwise the creature would be out of melee range.

Though if you have a reach weapon, they leave your range at 10', which is far enough away to not have disavantage.

Hmm... If you had a whip in 1 hand and longsword in the other (and dual weapon feat).
Would a creature leave your reach twice?

no, only bigger metter. I see a twitter of MM or JC saying for some monsters like dragons, each reach can count (bite, claws, tail).
Unfortunetly for my building (not martial class), whip is martial weapon.

You can still hold, swing, and attack with a whip at someone without proficiency. Just don't expect to hit much.

Also, how do you get tunnel fighter without martial weapons?

Enjoy it while it lasts. Or better yet - don't. Exploiting rules holes breaks the game and reduces the fun for the group.

Tunnel fighter is likely going to be revised before it hits an official source - perhaps so that you use a bonus to enter the stance until the start of your next turn, and the *first* OA you make while in the stance before your next turn does not require your reaction. Unlimited OAs is way out of synch with the design standards of the game. The game should hold to the limit: Outside of the main action on your turn, you should get no more than two extra attacks and each should require your reaction or your bonus.

you don't get, I was thinking in other build in fact, lol. But you're right I can hold a whip to get reach and don't need to use it.

It isn't really broken. 4E had one AoO per oponents turn.
And 3e had combat reflexes feat that granted you extra AoO.
And IMO tunnel fighter should be by default as now all have spring attack by default.

also one guy with a spear in a tunnel can hold almost any number of oponents with short weapons.
enough to fill the tunnel to the celing with bodies.

I have a suspicion that Tunnel Fighter isn't going to make it out of Unearthed Arcana in it's current form.

I entirely blade Gandalf for the silly situation of using a quarterstaff one handed with Polearm Master, as amusing as RAW as it is.
