Yes and no. They've pretty much said in 5E that you should change the Lore to fit your own game. In MY D&D, Vecna is no god

Yeah, of course. My Forgotten Realms haven't progressed much past the Avatar Crisis. I also imported Vecna to the world, but only as a lich. That said, there is still "official" documentation and 3e counts as official documentation of Vecna as a god.

I didn't say anything about "D&D", which is a product brand currently owned by Wizards of the Coast. I said something about Vecna, a character in a story. Or rather, you said something about Vecna, but you're talking about a different Vecna than I was. You're talking about WotC's Vecna, whom I'm not interested in.

It's the difference between George Lucas's Anakin Skywalker and the Disney Star Wars movies.

That's not true. Survivor rules are that votes can be based off of any criteria you want. I voted, and explained my vote. I don't know why you keep bringing up a completely different and irrelevant Vecna when I've already made it clear that I'm not interested in it.

It's for the same reason several people here are posting beyond just the votes. We're campaigning to sway others
