The intent is that Belial can exclude allies, everyone within the aura would be affected except those Belial chooses not to affect. perhaps the language can be cleaned up a bit. Mechanics wise it is a trait, not an action. It doesn't cost Belial anything to use this trait

I thought so. I'm just spoiled by the lingo of 4E Simply use "Enemies within the aura"? That way, no confusion as to action or not, hidden creatures etc.

I don't have my MM here, but there's a standard way that 5e handles this.
No such thing as a free action in 5e. It typically will say 'no action required'.

That is correct, and it is something similar to what I wrote, but I didn't have my books with me when I was editing this submission. I just based on my rather crude memory!

Yes, thank you. I meant to emphasize more on the free action concept, and how it's common in 5e to have this kind of thing with no action. I think you handle it fine with your wording.

I tried that (a week ago), and the document I downloaded didn't have the monster he had just added.

Perhaps it was operator error on my part.

EDIT: Nope, no Belial, just Asmodeus in that section.

And the first post says the pdf will not be as current as the thread. (but March?)

If your talking about the PDF, I haven't update that yet. I don'y update it every time a upload a new monster. I will update the PDF when I get all the Arch-Devils added.

I was on a several month hiatus, and i have only recently started posting again. I will get it updated soon. Which for me is a week or two.
