Yeah, at least from what Whisper saw, there wasn't another exit (barring the possible teleportation circle...). But there may have been another tunnel that needs to be excavated that may lead to another area.

Well the first thing Siljar would do is examine the book Whisper gave him while his unseen servant helps with the excavation. If it runs out, he would cast it again as a ritual (ten minutes).

He would examine the book until the passage is cleared. Once the party gets into the room upon seeing the runes on the floor he would examine them.

If need be, he can cast Comprehend Languages as a ritual. He can read Elvish, Dwarvish and Infernal

Also...if an Arcana check is required:

Once he sees the books, the first one he would pick up and look through is the one on Divinations...specifically looking for a Detect Magic spell.
