D&D 5E ForgedAnvil D&D 5E Character Generator

Our group recently found this sheet and it's now the defacto method of creating characters as it just simplifies everything.

It feels kind of ungrateful to ask, but are there any plans to add any of the stuff from the class splats? Storm Sorcerer's for example, or the other patrons from the Warlock splat, particularly things like the extra invocations that increase spell slot levels or number of slots. Alternatively these could be added manually with an unlocked version of the sheet?

all of the official stuff should be in there. If you are talking about UA stuff, then no. Only official classes/races.

if you do find that there is an official class or option missing, then post what info is missing. It could be a bug.

Half-Sun Elf Possible Bug

I play a half-sun elf and the race is in the drop down but it doesn't allow me to select from the sub-race drop-down. The Moon elf is the same so I just renamed it.

Thanks for the feedback, the Half-Sun Elf and Half-Moon Elf are fixed in the next build (they were grouped under Half-High Elf in build 5 and I found a few bugs when separating them after build 6) though you should be able to select them as a base race in build 6 and possibly their traits under the "Subrace" heading

None of the patrons from Patron of the Smokeless Fire and the relevant Invocations aren't available. It's a splat I bought off DriveThruRPG so I presume it's official.....

Not so much a bug as a possible improvement...

Monk AC is calculated by 10 + Dex bonus + Wis bonus

Sheet (Beta 5 anyway) shows the perfectly correct AC (17 for me), and lists 0 armour, 0 shield, +4 dex and +1 other (for my magic item), but does not explain the missing (Wis) bonus.

Any possibility of changing the Dex block to read: Dex/Wis (2 lines) and the bonus show as +dex/+wis ??

Thanks

For a Monk the Wisdom modifier is included in the base AC (10+Wis Mod). For a Barbarian the Constitution modifier is used instead (10+Con Mod). Adding either the wis or con mods to the dex block would made no sense.

With 5th edition, AC is determined by a set Base AC and modified from there. Only one version of the Base AC can be used, and if your character has multiple methods available you must choose one to use.
Standard Base AC (10) + Dex Mod + Armor + Shield
Monk Base AC (10+Wis mod) + Dex Mod - if any armor and/or shield is used, use the Standard Base AC method instead
Barbarian Base AC (10+Con mod) + Dex Mod + Shield - if any armor is used, use the Standard Base AC method instead
Mage Armor Base AC (13) + Dex Mod - if any armor and/or shield is used, use the Standard Base AC method
Natural Base AC (Dragonic Resilience) (13) + Dex mod - if any armor and/or shield is used, use the Standard Base AC method instead

If you have a Fighting Style that affects your AC, that is a modifier to your Base AC (if you meet the requirements). For instance, the Defense Fighting Style does not work with the Monk or Barbarian method because it requires armor to be worn (which both of those methods excludes).
If you have a multi-class Barbarian / Monk character, you must choose which one Base AC to use.

If you multiclass, you only gain Unarmored Defense once, from the first class you take that grants it.

The tool is designed to use whichever is higher, which makes sense. If you have natural armor of 13 and put on chain mail, your base armor is now 16. As it is base AC then the higher value is used. For unarmored defense, the tool applies this as a base AC not a +AC (e.g. a shield) and considers if the character is wearing armor or shield (based on the Start sheet values). So for a Barbarian (Con 16) / Monk (Wis 14) the unarmored defense would use the 16 (+3 ) and the base armor is 13 assuming both have achieved the unarmored defence trait and independent of when each class gain the trait.
