(1) Dislike: The reductionism. The game evolved from the simplicity of OD&D to 2E and 3E and 4E because more people thought of more things to add to it. If OD&D was simple, that was partly due to the fact that nobody could think up all that stuff in a single year, or even in two or three years. It took decades for many fine minds across the world to develop the content for the first SRD. However, the design guidelines for 5E included making the (older) OD&D players feel at least partly welcome, so WotC excised many more-developed ideas, including some that (according to me) really didn't need to go.
(2) Like: The sturdy chassis. They can hang many new developments onto the chassis of 5E, at least in part because they built the underlying mechanics so solidly that they won't need to change the basic assumptions for a long time (relatively speaking).
