This was TSR's first Space Opera. It was pretty good, after you added the Knight Hawks expansion (space ship combat!) and Zeb's Guide (moar races, better rulez).

when they say mechanical expansion does that mean a revised players handbook or a new book? With the new revised ranger?

This is why I asked who. And was hoping for a link to an actual source.

The quote from Mearls and/or Crawford was something along the lines of, "We are working on the game's first major mechanical expansion." Sorry, I'm too tired to google for the exact quote. But it was pretty unequivocal.

I love Start Frontiers. Still has the boxes in my closet. But, even as a kid I knew the space combat rules (Knight Hawks) broken the basic law of momentum.

A common dungeon trope is a 10' x 10' room with an orc. And Pie. Consult the Pie Table to determine what kind of Pie:
