I was thinking everyone could have 1 thing modified by Jihahna at the time, maybe two at the most if they are minor. The bonus to attack is kind of more major. So I could see something like either a +1 to attack with a non-lightsaber weapon OR a +1 to two skills from some item - like a stealth bonus from armor and a medical bonus from a medkit...

Hm. Does that apply to the Jedi too, or is our bonus limited to the lightsaber crystal?

When Jedi craft their own lightsabers they gain a +1 to their attack rolls with it. This is why I don't want to give another bonus from Jihahna's Tech Specialist idea.

For the crystals that is a special modifier that anyone crafting their lightsaber gets. You choice some non-attack bonus that it will give you. So for example you could say that this special blue crystal (or whatever color you want, come up with a name too) adds an additional +1 to Lightsaber Defense ability (so you gain +2 to all your Defenses with an ignited lightsaber). Or it could give you a +2 with a single power's Use the Force skill check (like Move Object, etc.) when you have your lightsaber in your hand.

Stuff like that.

Not bad at all. It's basically two free feats, if you count the +1 to attack.

Normally I let you take a Feat that is on the tree... so if you pick up Scoundrel that gives you Point Blank Shot, you can take Precise Shot or Far Shot, etc.
