D&D 5E 5e Halcyon Academy

Professor Haught smiled as she finished reading the list.

"It looks like everyone has been accepted to at least two schools, which is wonderful! I just want to say, if you didn't get into the School of the Arcane, and you wanted to, you can always try to find a Patron to teach you. Other than that, I hope you have a happy time here!"

With that, she and the dwarf stepped aside, the door opened, and revealed a city of splendor. The houses are ornately crafted, seeming to have been sculpted rather than simply built. The streets were pristine. People of all kinds walked too and fro.

"Mr. Borengar will take you to your quarters, if you like. You're the first of the new groups to arrive, so you have first pick for rooms. Studies start next week, to give you time to settle in. Ta ta!"

And with that, she burst into a puff of smoke.

Zivar looks around the group smiling.

"Congratulations! Did everyone get into a school they were hoping for? I'm going to pick the Arcane school. I think I want to be a wizard. How cool would it be to make Magic things?!"

[sblock=Quentin]
School of Combat: [roll0]
School of the Arcane: [roll1] (Overridden: Accepted)
School of the Divine: [roll2]
School of Nature: [roll3]
School of Skill: [roll4]
School of the Immortal: [roll5][/sblock]

How did I get 30 to Divine :) This one will become paladin instead of a fighter :o

Mim breaks away from the group he will find his own room later, right now he wants to find a high place to throw himself off.
Easy for someone who can fly :)

As his blood bubbles up from the vial, Quentin nods, he already knows he holds some magical power. He will definitely work on it.

He listens to the list and lights up as he hears he's accepted in the school of combat. He looks taken aback for a moment at divine school trying to remember what he did to earn such honor. Skills, well, everyone can use some knowledge, both theory and practice. Depending on what they teach, he can spend some time there.

"Thank you for the honor, Professors."

To Raven
"Of course, your weapon didn't react, it was yours all along. And you put yourself between us and the beast. Thank you. Would you care for a drink later, you could inform us about common life at the school without us badgering the professors about it. I know you probably have your own studies, but after this trek, I believe you can afford one more evening?"

Raven arched her eye, looking Quentin up and down. "Whatever. But you're buying. Your dorm is in the Tower of Enlightenment. Don't let the names fool you, everything here has fancy names. It's just a dorm. You're going to want to claim your dorm quick. The towers are tall, and climbing stairs constantly is a pain until you learn how to fly or teleport or something. I suggest taking the dorms on the bottom floor, it'll make you life easier. When you're done, meet me at Jaques'. It's a pub on Main Street, which runs down the center of town. I'll be there."

Mim wandered off, heading towards the main structure in the center of town, a large castle with towers that seemed to reach the clouds, the center of which was higher than the clouds.

Where would Mim like to go?

"If the Academy controls the island, the secret island, I wonder why does it need walls?" thinking out loud.

Zivar whispers to himself. "Enlightenment, bottom floor, Jaques' Main st."

He travels with the group when they go to the dorms and follows Ravens instructions he moving around like it's on a bobble trying to take in all the sites and learn is way around for fear of getting lost.

When he gets to the dorm and finds a room near the others, he winds up his music box to listen to it while he sets up his things, taking care to set the desk up with his jewelers tools.

He gets lost in thought several times but eventually gets settled in before going out to find the pub he is supposed to meet everyone at.

"Don't look at me like you're gonna eat me or kill me, I didn't mean anything...distasteful." he smiles at Raven.
"See you later!"

Finding the dorm, he quickly gets seaward looking room and suggests to the others:
"Let's stay close. Even if everyone gets their own room, we can help each other by keeping together. I'm going to freshen up and head for the tavern. We deserve some drinks and the taverns are best information sources on any new port." Quentin takes the room, stashes his things and heads to town looking for Jaques.

Jordy followed the others to the dorms and found an empty room on the bottom floor to claim as his own. He set his sack atop the small chest at the foot of the narrow bed, and sat on the thin mattress, looking at the bare walls, one with a tiny window set near the ceiling. It was actually quite similar to the cells he had spent some time in back home, except that the door could be barred from the inside.
He pulled out his wand and spent a few minutes practicing with its power, moving various small objects around the room. It would be useful for getting things down from high shelves.

After a short rest, he tucked the wand away and trotted out to find Main Street, and the pub called "Jaques'". His stomach rumbled at the thought of a meal.
