Star Trek 2d20: Thoughts on the Playtest and Upcoming Releases

I'm curious about what others think about the rules for the new Star Trek RPG from Modiphius, using the 2d20 system. I've read the different versions of the playtest rules and wasn't impressed; however, after playing the Conan scenario for Free RPG Day I understand the system much better and liked it a lot. I've switched my preconceived attitude from "disappointed" to "optimistic" regarding the ST game. I am wary about the prices, however.

Do any of you own or play other RPGs from that publisher? What are your thoughts on the overall quality of their products, including writing, rules, editing, layout, and the like?

Rather than just recreate my other posts, I will just point you in the direction of the "Public Playtest Launches" thread one or two down from this one. There has been quite a bit of discussion there about what people like or don't about the system, including people's responses to Jester David's similar inquiry.

As for your other question, I don't personally own any of their other products, but I know people who do who love their stuff as high quality product. However, I have no direct experience, only hearsay.

70+ days left in the pre-order period. And in theory the PDF will be sent out to people who purchases in the next couple weeks.
I'm sure you can expect some reviews around that time.
