So is it safe to assume that all the firearms in 5th Age use Dexterity as their modifier? It would make sense after you specified the need to reduce Dex saves frequency.

I've been using the starmap here https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://robertsspaceindustries.com/starmap&ved=0ahUKEwj0qt-M7LrVAhUH54MKHSxOD8cQFggpMAA&usg=AFQjCNGINLKf6dOJoEuU8RCEzvZygzM2Qw for all my locations and stuff. Now that i've got to a point where my players have their first ship with a hyperdrive, I need to redo the distances. Here, the distances are calculated by AU from jump points. It takes light 499 seconds to travel 1 au, so 15 au would be just over 2 hours of travel. If i change the au to lightyears, it will change the dynamics of cargo missions and how the players will see their entire perspective change as the worlds get older why they stay the same. Basic staples of space travel.

I've been working on something similar to Stefen based on a different star map. I can't post a link because this is my first post, but it can be found by googling "100,000 stars." It isn't nearly as functional as his, but it is larger (it claims to contain 100,000 stars) and does provide a basic visual representation for players. I also like that doesn't have any pre-determined history or politics, so each system can be built for the individual story. My campaign is set on the frontier of human expansion so my starting star systems aren't on the Star Citizen map. The way I have been building my setting is by going through the stars near my starting location and building the solar systems and putting the info into a spreadsheet for easy access in my adventure. I figure my map link/method might be useful for other DMs trying to build their galaxy. If you have any recommendations I'd love the advise.

Dude I am honestly loving that star-map! The fact that it actually gives you a raw distance of a single lightyear helps so much with the math of FTL travel in 5th age. The reason I used the Star Citizen map was that it already had a very loose alien history that I could easily re-fluff as the aliens presented in the PDF. The only problem I have with the SC star-map is that it takes place in around 2,800AD, so mankind has already expanded more than I intended, but in their defense they had a network or miniature wormhole "jump-points" so they did't need FTL travel. My campaign will take place on a fringe planet after humanity has spent most of it's resources expanding (sound familiar?). Now their trouble is that they have lost contact with Earth and is on the verge of collapsing on itself.

So i may have changed a minor detail for my game. It didn't make sense to me why a Synthetic's armor class was exactly the same as a regular humans, 10+ dex modidier. With synthetics being sentient robotic humanoids, their outer body would most likely be comprised of light ceramic or compoaite interlocking plates to protect the very touchy insides. Since metals are generally stronger than skin, weight for weight, i made theirbase armor class 12+ dexterity modifier. This also eliminates the ned to wear light armor like skinsuits, which is useless for synthetics anyways. It just didnt make sense that we would use soft metals to protect the electronics of robots that were once. Small enough of a change to not effect gameplay but enoigh to make sense
