I think we'll have to agree to disagree here. I'm concerned about how the game plays at my table. One of the greatest strengths of this edition is how easy it is to house rule such stuff. I visit these forums to improve my game, not re-write the system.

If WOTC agrees with some criticisms and issues errata, that's fine. If I like the change, I'll use it. If I don't, I can still play the game my way. I don't need WOTC to stamp my changes as official.

And I'm not interested in having a discussion with people that just shrug off any or all criticism against the edition with the offhand "you can always houserule".
