Ideas for a creature template

Misfit Toy

First Post
I am working on a campaign arc where the BBEG is corrupting the people and things in the area, I am looking for a template that I could use over the items they are currently lvl 1-2 characters, I have looked into using the zombie template didn't know if anyone else had a better idea that could fit.

Homebrew Pathfinder, kinda like a necropolis situation was looking for a way to make it a slower growth so corruption turning them into some kind of an undead.

I'm taking it here that the zombie won't work for you, too.

What sorts of traits do you see the new template granting/removing? Or more broadly, what changes (in capability, personality, etc) do you want in the corruption victims?

It might also make sense to look at the poison rules for inspiration, or the contagion spell.

Basically, I'd decide what effects you want (reduced speed? Hit points? Difficulty casting spells?) and work backwards from there. Impose conditions and/or rename them if you want. But really, pick a result and you can make up whatever you want to be the cause.

The end result would be a kind of angry crazed undead, inspiration coming from Warcraft III, as well as the reavers from Firefly. I will have to think of what effect would occur at the beginning.

I'd look at making a template that pulls from the lycanthrope template with some undead traits maybe, then. Keep in mind that the lycanthrope template includes unwilling transformation into a mindless killing machine that ignores most types of damage. Though thinking about it, a barbarian's rage might model your affliction better, in the sense that you ignore the damage while the effect is in progress but it still hurts you in the end.

That is an idea that I hadn't thought of but it would fit perfectly into the idea.
