D&D 5E BattleMasters maneuvers vs Sword Bard Blade Flourish

Assuming you even took those spells that nearly all use your magical secrets...

I wouldn't take both wall of force and telekinesis. Two alternatives. But I might well take one of those (or Bigby's Hand) and spiritual weapon. And I'd still have two picks left at 14th.

Sure, I mean there are a lot of options. My point is just that even vs legendary resistance you still have some good spells, and more if you devote some of your magical secrets to non-save/non-concentration combat options. And since you have quite a few spell slots by that point, whereas your attacks haven't gotten any better really since 6th level, you're likely better off using most of your actions casting. You'll still likely attack occasionally, but it's not where you're likely to provide the most value.

I would take wall of force. It's sometimes an "I win" button. Dragon with a bunch of minions? I win by putting the dragon in a bubble with no save, while the party wipes out the minions first.

Or you get rid of most of the minions yourself by casting Mass Suggestion on them, and make them run away.

Mass Suggestion is another excellent spell. You need the DC for it though. Wall of Force provides no save, which is one reason I quite like it. Oh you have legendary saves? I care not for your silly uber abilities. Now sit quiet in your bubble.

Oh, I completely agree. The beauty of it is, since Mass Suggestion is not concentration, you can cast Wall of Force in round one to trap the dragon, then Mass Suggestion the minions (who presumably don't have legendary resistance) in round two.

As long as it's not an ancient dragon, that is, since WoF isn't big enough for a gargantuan creature. Forcecage, though...
