D&D 2E Which is the better fantasy rpg and why: D&D 5e or Pathfinder 2e?

I'm not sure which is better, I haven't played pathfinder 2e, only looked through the book and attempted to make a PC. It allows for a bit more customisation but with added complexity, and I think it is something that it could do with a bit of a better cheatsheet for character building (as an example, I was following the character creation guidelines but had no idea what to do if you end up with the same skill more than once). 5e you can make a new PC quite quickly, for pathfinder it takes a little more work though that might pick up speed once you are more familiar with the system.

2e is hands down a much more balanced fantasy RPG experience so far. I've yet to see anything extraordinarily broken and nearly all of the classes, with the exception of the Alchemist, which seems underpowered at low levels, are pretty balanced.
It's worth noting, however, that different players place different amounts of stress on class balance. To some, it is vital, while to others, it's not high on the list of priorities.

Dude, at enworld that doesn't count as a flex. That's the equivalent of saying, "I don't want to brag about my education, but not only did I graduate from kindergarten, I once stayed at a Holiday Inn Express."

You can't throw a stone around here without hitting a few hundred people that have 3000 hours of experience DMing ....in the 1970s. ;)
I don't want to flex, but I once listened to Rap music, like, the explicit version.

With swearwords, big boy ones.

It’s fair to say they that the two attempt to satisfy different things. That food metaphor is not silly - sometimes I fancy a burger, other times a three course Michelin rated restaurant. They are both food, but offer different experiences.

PF2 in my reading of it offers the longer game, 5e the fast food version.

I have a lot of trouble seeing why we need one thread about this, let alone three. It is the kind of topic that it seems impossible a community will ever reach a consensus on, and also one where it seems like discussing it is more likely to be counterproductive than fruitful. In other words...I am dubious about this thread doing anything but starting fights or worsening existing fights.
I completely agree with the above. Edition war bait. Besides, 5e or PF2E is a binary choice I don't agree with. Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1e, 2e or 4e or Shadow of the Demon Lord are - for me - subjectively better fantasy RPGs.
