D&D 5E The Warlord shouldn't be a class... change my mind!

When asked for what professions he could do for the Tuatha de Danann, Lugh mentioned Cup Bearer.... it was a poison testing job (Honesty Dependability and Toughness).
I think this could be a great fey-themed archetypes for ''warlords''.
Cast Purify Water and Dectect Poison as rituals.
Get Brewer's tool.
Can craft fun drinks like the alchemist.
Cannot be Charmed by fey. Gets a Sanctuary-like effect against fey.

Maybe more for a Bard since I'd expect a cup bearer to stay indoor and attend parties :p

"fireteams" are a modern military invention. Anchient world armies probably could have worked more efficiently if divided into small groups with individual sub-leaders - but that kind of organisation simply hadn't been invented yet.
Arneson said he conceived of the party based on the US military fire team including the division of labor by archetype.
AKA who gives a rat's ass about historical accuracy, we're playing a Western slash Pulp slash farcical joke of a game, if some modern terminology creeps in there deal with it.

He did become their leader and according to some accounts overly valued to the point to directly participate had to sneak into battle... sneak into the party?

Everybody appreciates the designated driver

You are correct: it even has the ability to shed/discard it's helplessness to allow you to replace your levels in it to another class. For those who hate the lazylord aspect of it OR for the moment in the plot where your Noble DECIDES to do something.
Willow from Buffy the Vampire Slayer series immediately jumped to mind btw.
