WotC World Reveal of Baldur’s Gate 3 Gameplay at PAX!

Gaming is fun, and fun is for everyone
I think turn based works better for team based games, especially one with as much going on as this one will have.

I don't have any issue with real-time games, but Diablo IV is coming out soon, and I don't think this game would be a better real-time game than that. So I'm glad this game is doing it's own thing.

ARPGs are built with that real time element in mind. As much as I am clamoring for BG3, I am equally excited about D4. There's totally room for both.

Also I'm seeing a lot of people worrying about there being goofy humor in it and I'm just like... you've played Baldur's Gate, right?

"The day comes when TIAX will point and click!"

And of course Minsc and Boo.

I went to r/baldursgate for reactions and gave up after a very short time. All I could think is "Did you people play the same games as I did?" due to stuff like this (and that doesn't even take into account their obsession with realtime+pause)...

I didn't expect them to have Spelljammer. Or playable Githyanki or Vampire Spawn

Also, rather restricted class list. Hopefully they will add more.

They have already said they plan to add more companions, races and classes, these races and classes are just what they will have ready in time for early access.

They'll also probably keep some content (like xanathar's subclasses) DLC exclusive. That's just how the game market works nowadays.

Thanks. But by now I managed to load all of them.
I wonder if that Gith is the same one who rode the dragon in the trailer.

The reception so far seems rather lackluster with many people disliking turn based combat and fearing it will be "too much like Divinity"

Those are loud Larian haters and they were bashing BG3 long before this. Its unrepresentive of their market.
