No firm deadline. When everyone is ready. This week might be iffy. I took some time off at the end to go to the Critical Role live show, but not it looks like I might have to miss that because my grandmother died Sunday, so not sure yet when the funeral is or how long I will stay at home.
That's sad to hear, my condolences .

My condolences.

I think Cyre is a good one. Doesn't really matter to a soldier that had no prior connection to any side, but I guess Ogham picked up a few cultural quirks, such as firmly believing in the rightful rule of the Cyran monarchy and a sense that everyone else may have been victorious (if it can be called that way), but they were still wrong.

I am finding the Soldier background to be somewhat lacking. Is it alright if I use the Inheritor background (from SCAG) and consider the amulet-shaped druidic seal the inheritance?

Yeah, that's fine.

Okay, folks. I'm back.

Before we start the adventure, I'd like to know if you guys want to do a Group Patron. You have a natural connection to House Tharask through Liutbrand Torrn, who is a House Agent. You could all be his team. Or you could work for another patron, and his House Agent status could be an additional source of jobs/complications.

Possibly a Idiot.
I am down for a group patron.
As for alternative ideas (just in case Liutbrand isn't too keen on his house, or being part of a
P.I. Finders Guild which would also be technically part of his house but less directly involved):
Sora Kell, and especially her daughter, Sora Katra could have an interest in seeing what one of Kethelrax's offspring is up too, they might even seek to recruit people into Daask. A thieves guild comprised mostly of monsters.

Having a group patron seems like a good way to bring a party together and keep it that way. My character can easily be inserted into any such patronage.

House Tharask is fine and perhaps fitting. I'm not sure how most of us would fit into a mostly-monsters guild, however... But there's always the (somewhat vanilla) option of an Adventurer's Guild.
