A little off topicI but I cannot believe a year after PF2 release they are already getting ready to release Beastiary 3. Seems far too quickly. Not sure how that pace can be maintained for monster books. Also hope that is not the actual name. I have found many of WoTC products to be just average but usually the names are interesting.

It‘ll two years by then. One with the launch, one after a year, and one after another year. One a year is pretty much SOP for them. I guess they sell well.

In Paizo's Gencon presentation Erik Mona mentioned that they have a made a concerted effort to get as many of the monsters from First Edition out as soon as possible. Bestiary 3 concludes those efforts and any further monster books will be themed.

In general there has been a concerted effort early on to release the material people need to continue their First Edition games in Second Edition. In this next year we should start seeing them experiment more in terms of the types of products they are putting out.

The cover has being bothering me. I had this feeling I didn't like it, but yet thought it was fairly interesting and I like the clockwork dragon (skeletons a re a bit boring, but I like that the tip the cap on troop rules). After looking at this cover a few more times I just realized my issue is the color. The color palette is to brown and the piece lacks contrast. I like it better now that I know what was bothering me so much.

I'm not into Pathfinder 2E (the playtest was all I picked up) and I'm not a big Wayne Reynolds fan, but I like this cover. I liked their take on Tooth Faeries going back to PF 1E and the Clockwork Dragon is well done. And, skeletons are skeletons so that's OK too. Nice.

I'm not partial to WR's manga-inspired (big shoes, big eyes) PC and NPC type characters, but this cover with skeletons, imps (fairies?) and that dang dragon is pretty awesome.

The banner that the skeletons are sporting is the same one as on Valeros' shield. I hope that gets expounded on somehow in the lore bits.
