D&D 5E Single race party?

Solitary Role Playing
Now that Tasha's has opened the door to custom modifiers I want to do a campaign with single race of PCs. The idea is to do a Tabaxi-only party set in a deep jungle. Have you done this in the past (other than human-only obviously)? Are you considering it?

We've done dwarves only in 4e and 5e, and we did Halfling and Warforged only back in 4e.

We didn't wait for the custom race thing. But for the 5e game the DM wanted us to roll stats.

Anyway, it works pretty well and can be pretty fun so I'd say go for it.

We've been having fun with a halfling-only party. It works well in the story, for what it is, and the characters are diverse enough that it's not too samey.

Cry havoc! And let slip the pigs of war!
We did all dwarves in 3e. I had my first and only dwarven wizard.

it was fun to have a band of bearded brothers

I've done all elf campaigns before. Tried doing an all dwarf campaign a couple of times but there was always that guy who refused. Prejudice against short runs deep.

It was fun to really delve into one particular culture in some ways, in other ways it just ended up being another (fun, unfortunately short lived) campaign.

Love it! Always wanted to do a travelling circus story!
SAME!!! It's one of my favorite "campaigns I really want to run someday."

For that specifically, I'd open it up to rogues too but would consider any character concept that would fit the campaign concept (like barbarian strongman, warlock magician, etc).
