IRON DM General Discussion

Does anyone have a list of current/recent players/judges? Should we make one? Maybe emails?

I can be talked into creating an IRON DM newsletter to send out and remind people about forthcoming sign up times.

8 ingredients in 1000 words is... a lot. Why not 3 and 3 for each round?

Because all contestants will be picking from a common pool of ingredients, and at least half of the ingredients will be shared by everyone, I see no issue with comparing different entries.

Since we're using cooking shows as a point of comparison, we can compare this to Best Leftovers Ever, which is a fantastic show (I think it is a recent Netflix release). In the first round, all contestants get a set of four "leftovers" that they have to incorporate into a new dish, but they also have a shared kitchen full of spices and other staples.

Don’t think so, yes, yes, and yes please.

If this query is based on my example for designing a monster, that was totally arbitrary and not meant to suggest a number or even specific style of ingredient.

I concur that for rounds with two categories there should be three for each OR six total that they can break up how they want btwn them (2 minimum).

You could quite literally be talking about comparing apples and oranges.
