D&D 5E 20th level Sorcerer vs the world

It's the blatant cheating that makes this all the more risible rather than interesting. Like, the sorcerer has advantages, he's just not using them in favour of some terrible preparation based strategies that a wizard just... does better in terms of action economy. It's barking up the stupid tree.

Which I guess, Int 10...

It wouldn't even work all the time. While an amazing area of effect attack, Meteor Swarm, even empowered, only deals on average 144 damage, so that's 72 with a save for half. More than half of the people you barely see in the distance and on which you cast meteor swarm would die, when they happen to be a wizard. And it would do no damage on the Dim Dooring wizard.
Not mention the fact that 72 points of damage would merely irritate a mid level Barbarian and would a mid level Monk, Rogue or random Shield Master, take any damage at all?

Yes. He EMPOWERED (a useful feature that lets a 16 CHA sorcerer reroll 3 dice) a spell that deals 40d6, hoping it would meaningfully affect the result. He's really not playing the Sorcerer to its strengths.

Probably not. He'd end up pissing off a lot of people casting Meteor Swarm at the slightest move of people at 1 mile of distance... yet he would expect to stay unnoticed....

Our 3 Wizards all tell "I don't understand, I was walking with a trade caravan along the Lion's Way when a Meteor Swarm hit us all. Most of the traders were killed on the spot, a few heroes died, I barely survived (97% chance of surviving an Empowered Meteor Swarm with a successful save... even with 10 CON) so I planeshifted away or "I was unscathed because my Contingency triggered" but I planeshifted away anyway. So far, despite being still illegal, his build failed to kill any of the subpar wizards except by a stoke of uncanny luck...

Ah, the hunt has begun, thank goodness. Are you going to tell us what tools you plan to hunt with?
No, he's going to hide behind a daffodil with his unbeatable (but short-duration) Stealth check, and a few hours later when you wander by he will just zap you and announce nobody noticed him do it.

He will. It's called Subtle Meteor Swarm.
And He still will blame the Wizards for that. Haha
