D&D 5E WizKids Announces Largest Tiamat Miniature Ever

The largest official Tiamat miniature ever at nearly 15 inches tall and nearly 30 inches wide, is coming this September from WizKids, according to IGN.

Slated to hit store shelves in September of this year and available for pre-order in the WizKids online shop, the miniature will be priced "under $400" with more details to come, and tower over your player characters, monster miniatures, most of your terrain pieces, and likely some small pets at 28.9 inches (73.4 cm) wide, 14.6 inches (37.1 cm) tall, and 16.8 inches (42.8 cm) long, supported by a 200mm clear round base. This new miniature will be the largest officially licensed, playable representation of the classic Dungeons & Dragons antagonist since her earliest incarnation by D&D co-creator Gary Gygax back in 1975.

Not since 5e. Watch the Rage of Demons trailer.

It’s a beautiful miniature. I painted Orcus but I’m not brave enough to paint Demo yet.
Oh yes, I am aware. I'm not a fan of how much bigger everything got! Makes it seem like the players are always fighting Kaiju.

No problem with that being the case for the Prince of Demons. Better that than demogorgon look like an obscure two headed troll.

That Demogorgon from wizkids 1e styling looks like a bad B movie clay animation...granted it’s close to the art work from the 1e time period but doesn’t invoke a sense of fear, more of a what happened here for nature to spit out this thing thought if you stumbled upon him.

Point is I've seen figures with that kind of craftsmanship with articulation for that price. Maybe it's the toy geek in me but I'm just not impressed by statues that don't DO anything.Heck, considering this thing isn't cast as a single piece, they could have easily put some big balljoints at the base of the necks and wings to add a small ammount of customizability to the look. You're probably gonna have to snap some pointing bi into place out of the box too, no way this thing ships with the wings attached I bet.
I just wanted to follow up after your MA KG comment so I did do some checking and the current cost of KG is over $500, not quite the same. Maybe you can find it somewhere cheaper. However, the most disappointing thing I found as that quite a few people posted that those wonderful articulating parts are prone to falling off! KG wings are particularly a problem - and they don't articulate. They are just to be big and tend to fall off evidently. Just an FYI.

he is a nice one but he is WAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY too big. Demo is supposed to be 12-15 feet tall!
No the original Demogorgon was 18' tall:

By 4e it has grown to Gargantuan, which would indicated something about 30' tall. Though no height is given:

Now in 5e, the Prince of Demons is back to being Huge, so in the range of giants (which are all Huge) from16' to 26'. So it is back closer to its original size.
