Er...well, I'd eliminate something that has to do with WotC as a company and not any particular "rule" in 5e. And no, I'm not going to state it here. What ONE THING would you remove from 5E?
it might help if they made such settings.I’d eliminate the ubiquitous assumption that all D&D campaigns, regardless of unique or IP-derived settings, are obligated to include all of the PHB race and class options.
As it stands, I can expect a Game of Thrones or Earthsea 5e Kickstarter campaign that will automatically shoe-horn in Warlocks, Tieflings and Dragonborn. Because that’s what D&D players expect (or even demand), right?
Maybe WotC should reiterate that D&D is a toolbox to build your own worlds, and that you can have an all-gnome world or a land where magic only comes from a divine source or a world in which there are no Humans. You’re actually allowed to do that! Gasp!
WotC have made two settings recently that don't require all the races, those being Ravnica and Theros which have their own race assumptions. Classes though, I'm not sure if they've done any soft restrictions on them.I’d eliminate the ubiquitous assumption that all D&D campaigns, regardless of unique or IP-derived settings, are obligated to include all of the PHB race and class options.

elctro-magnetic pluse?Anti-Magic, and I've already removed it from my games. I don't like the idea of something that is just an "anti-fantasy genre" spell or ability. You'd might as well have "anti-tech" in a modern or futuristic game that makes you immune to anything other than a stick or rock.
This has come up a couple times in this thread. How do people get confused by this mechanism or not like it? I think it is a good mechanic - IME it is far better than minor actions in 4e.
