O5E calls them “madnesses”.Neat! I hope you can post a couple of those stress effects as an example.
It's very caster-focused. Does this mean that Fatigue is more martial-focused?
Will these stress effects be used in other places as well--like as the result of spells, poisons, etc.--or are they solely from Strife?
Yep, each time you gain strife it increases by a level. And each time you rest at a haven, it goes down by one level. As noted, are the effects stackable, like strife after strife after...? Or do they cap? Say as in while enroute to a haven while in strife you are strifed again?![]()
I think that looks really cool. I do think that number 5 should probably read, "Cannot cast spells other than cantrips." Cantrips being spells. As you know, in A5E exhaustion is split into fatigue and strife. You recover from fatigue and strife by taking a long rest at a haven. This is the early draft of strife.

Clarity for the literal minded out there.I think that looks really cool. I do think that number 5 should probably read, "Cannot cast spells other than cantrips." Cantrips being spells.![]()
I might resemble that remark a bit.Clarity for the literal minded out there.![]()
If you're lost, you can look, but won't find the pathAs noted, are the effects stackable, like strife after strife after...? Or do they cap? Say as in while enroute to a haven while in strife you are strifed again?![]()
Polish it up a bit and Morrus might be induced to include it as a side-bar in the section. If you're lost, you can look, but won't find the path
Strife after strife
If you fall, you'll take damage, and lose hp
Strife after strife
