Vaesen looks interesting. Did you like it? I played Coriolis which has the same core system. We have been dipping our toes into Vaesen. My old favourite is ARS Magica. Also, just picked up Liminal, which I'm excited about. Absolutely gorgeous art.
Own Fantasy Age, but haven't tried it yet. Too many games...
Yes, it's easy to play, and a nice break from Medieval fantasy. I love folklore and fae, so that's been engaging for me. I think I'll loosen up the character creation next time, as a few players wanted choices they couldn't have. We wanted to try running it RAW first though, before tinkering.Vaesen looks interesting. We played through Labyrinth too. Lots of fun and a great family game.I've been playing GURPS for decades, most recently in its incarnation as the Dungeon Fantasy RPG. I've got a number of DFRPG games going in parallel with different players.
Recently picked up and played through the Labyrinth RPG with my family. We had a great time with that. Did a session of Lasers and Feelings too. Edit: though I suppose that isn't necessarily fantasy.
I think that's it for most definitions of "current."
If it has a d20 roll over target number D&D inspired system it doesn't qualify as non-D&D.How non-D&D does it need to be? I play a lot of OSR-adjacent stuff like Black Hack 2E, Worlds Without Number, and Vagabonds of Dyfed. I only really play D&D with my kids at this point, because that's what they know how to play.
