- DESCRIPTION: In Secret of the Silver Spire (for levels 3 to 7) the PCs explore a strange silver tower that shines like a polished mirror that has recently appeared out of thin air. The tower is inhabited by strange creatures, such as the barzani ape-men, modrons of many types, and three-faced golden sentinels. The enigmatic overlords are the "silver masters" — alien beings made of pure energy. The spire’s maze of rooms is stuffed with strange equipment and curious items these creatures have collected from all over the multiverse. The module contains eighteen original black-and-white illustrations. Russ Nicholson (of Fiend Folio fame) created the cover art featuring the Spire and its alien inhabitants. The Sacred Temple of Erwadu, dedicated to the god, Enki, towers majestically over the marshes that cluster along the banks of the broad river delta. PCs of level 7 to 10 must survive four deadly levels. The inside of the great ziggurat temple likely holds vast treasures inside its fresco-lined chambers and mud-bricked walls, likely protected by terrible guardians that keep the unworthy from claiming them. This adventure contains background notes, a cutaway map of the temple, five new monsters, six variable endings, and 13 original illustrations to show the players. The referee can opt to play this module one of two ways — as a ‘Living’ or, ‘Lost’ temple.
