D&D 5E New WotC Survey! Learn About A New D&D Product!

WotC has launched a new survey about the future of D&D. This survey includes an NDA (which some people have not taken to well!) halfway through, which asks you not to talk about the survey on pain of being tracked down and fined, but it's about an upcoming (unannounced) new D&D product. You can find out what it is by taking the survey (or it's all over social media aready).

Yeah it was definitely the real survey, although not a good looking mockup... I feel like it's just that, a mockup idea to explore directly taking on the many competitors in that space. They'll probably go for it, but the marketing/financial people want some survey data to prove their thoughts before they go full steam ahead.

I was quite enthusiastic in my answers to them. If they put enough money into it, they could make an impressive looking product. If not, I'll keep using what I use.

Agreed, but I think they would be better off buying a certain company as the base of the new internal product (and allowing users to keep using what they've already purchased) and then adding on the other part that is missing... That would be a home run for me.

I disapproved of the darkvision for some races. I think no more than half the races should have it. And to me being a forever dm. I got what appears to D&D beyond video which would have an upgrade.

There may be multiple products being tested, though I suspect not.

Yeah, browsing Reddit, the commenters are pretty ok with spilling the tea. Looks like the Month question was a switcheroo, as everyone got the same thing.

...I'm pretty lukewarm about the New Product they are asking about. I already have everything I need in that department.

The whole tracking thing for the survey was annoying. I did the survey through Twitter with Firefox and the only way someone else in my house could also take the survey was to use the link from the Facebook post while using Chrome. What a pain.

And different birth months, but the exact same secret questions. So yeah, I now think everyone is seeing the same product.

I've heard of some DMs removing Darkvision from the game completely...no races have it, not even subterranean ones. Embrace the darkness.
