Man, you guys are gonna HATE me for this encounter. I'll post my write up of it once we're done so you can see my thinking.

If we can speak during all the fighting, I'll ask the captain, "Do you know how to get through that shield?"

So, just to be clear, this will happen after I take my turn? Also, we've established that Ellina is talking to Mr. Christian, so if he's in range, she should be too.

Since I'm last, it will happen after your turn. You just need to be within 30 of me if you want the benefits (10 of me if you want Pally aura).

Unless ye can cast Disintegrate or can Teleport, I'd prepare for a boarding party!

Well, that settles it--not using the bow, Ellina thinks as she sees the fireball dissipate around the pirates' ship. It would have been a tough shot in this storm anyway.

Drawing her shortsword and dagger, she runs over to Alvin, knowing from past experience that standing near him in a fight is usually a good plan. She readies herself to attack the first pirate who comes within melee range.

Galvich clicks her tongue in disappointment. She exclaims "Be prepared! I'm getting rid of the barrier with my Disintegrate spell!"

She's just letting others know her intended actions just in case.
