D&D 5E Help me build a character around a bad feat

A new challenger approaches!

I think Charger is an okay feat for Martial characters until they get Extra Attack, which means few people are actually going to take it.

Can you come up with a character based around Charger?

Charger

When you use your action to Dash, you can use a bonus action to make one melee weapon attack or to shove a creature.

If you move at least 10 feet in a straight line immediately before taking this bonus action, you either gain a +5 bonus to the attack's damage roll (if you chose to make a melee attack and hit) or push the target up to 10 feet away from you (if you chose to shove and you succeed).

And as a B-b-bonus Challenge, come up with a character around the Lightly Armored feat!

Lightly Armored

You have trained to master the use of light armor, gaining the following benefits:

Increase your Strength or Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
You gain proficiency with light armor.

Charger would work well with haste and a reach weapon. Maybe on a Vengeance Paladin.

Cast Haste. Use your Haste Action to Dash. Have 120ft of movement. Charge forward and bonus action attack with +5 damage and then fall back. Next turn use haste to Dash and Charge forward and make your normal 2 attacks and a bonus action attack from charger with +5 Damage and then fall back again. If the enemy has reach use the charger feature that allows an attempt to push them back in lieu of the +5 damage.

Better yet make this character a bugbear so you get an additional +5 reach.

I almost want to make the Charger Paladin now.

With Keen Mind, your character always knows the number of hours until the next sunrise or sunset. This would be very helpful in a monster-PCs campaign if you're playing a vampire or something else traditionally affected by day and night, like a werewolf or a troll. Vampires are sometimes depicted as obsessively counting or tracking details, so that could maybe be spun into perfect recall. If you're basing a character entirely around this feat, you could also say that the character can perfectly recall the past month, but maybe they can't recall earlier than that. For an immortal undead, that could pose some interesting problems to play out at the table.

Light Armored works well enough on a variant human caster to get to moderately armored. So you get medium armor and shield at level 4. Could work well on evoker wizards where you are just trying to blast instead of concentrate on spells.

“It’s probably Matt Mercer’s fault.”

Which makes me think that there's no such thing as a bad feat (or bad ability) if the DM plans adventures such that each PCs strengths (and weaknesses!) come into play.

Charger works well for a swashbuckler Rogue.

It is essentially a free +5 to damage. Take dash doubling movement line up so you can go at least 10 feet, hit the target with the bonus action and then back away with fancy footwork to repeat next turn.

Light Armor could work for a sorcerer with an odd dexterity. On a wizard it is less effective, because usually they can get Mage Armor. With sorcerers though that is a valuable spell known slot that it would take up. That said it would make more sense to take a race with armor proficiency.

Charger is pretty good for any of the Clerics who get weapon attack upgrades at level 8. It's not really bad for a proper martial character either if you have a DM who has spread out battles where dashing on your turn is frequently actually necessary. It's just a disappointment once they get extra attack if they've been cheesing the feat for a slight damage boost or to push the enemy around when they had no actual reason to dash.

Lightly armored I can only imagine taking as a Sorcerer, with odd dexterity, at a high-ish level so that I can retire Mage Armor for a new spell.

Keen mind would need the right kind of DM. If you have a DM that makes you write down all your notes and makes the player remember everything herself (what was the name of that wizard we were looking for?) then I would think keen mind is necessary for someone in the party to have. I have never played with a DM like that though. I could also see using the feature to replace or automatically succeed on some nature, history or religion checks.
If you wrote down all the notes, why would you still need the feat?
