I'll add, interesting how the Owlin race, from the MTG Plane of Strixhaven, references the Feywild, which is a D&D Plane. Subtle crossing of the streams there.

Yeah. That is really interesting. I wonder if the book will address that at all. (If the Feywild is accessible through Strixhaven, should the Shadowfell, too?)

They've also added a gnome student to the school and (outside of gnome shaped artifacts) those are fairly rare in MtG. I've noticed an increase in gnome npcs, especially female gnome npcs recently. I wonder if WotC has some research that shows that gnomes are particularly popular with female players?

well, that just makes me feel depressed and out of place.

the why goes into personal stuff and how I have managed to cook my head, but boils down to me finding all that utterly unrelatable and clearly things are moving in a direction I might not be able to deal with.

I'm happy for those who find this to be their thing.

For myself, I'm looking forward to seeing the subclass and feat options. The rest is not really my bag.
