Looks like Spelljammer and/or Planescape is back on the menu!

The thing I’m concerned about is them announcing the book before the survey has gone up and come down. If it’s not exactly what people want there’s a chance the survey will be flooded with negative response. Like if it is pure Spelljammer that’ll piss some off. If it’s not that’ll piss others off. Not sure what impact, if any, that would have. Just a concern.

Yup. Bariaur, Githzerai and Tieflings were the other three main ones, with rogue modrons coming later

Now, Bariaur's a race I have no idea if they'll bring back or not, given we have full on centaur...

I'm still a bit miffed that they had rogue modrons but not slaadi that went on the straight 'n' narrow as an option...

I use slaadi a lot, and your comment sparked a thought....a slaad that instead of a gem in its forehead....has a modron gear!

Only those its new physical shape was capable of also doing. Exactly like everyone else.

A few of the features (such as being able to sprout hands) are of particular interest.

I think it's unclear whether or not features which involve limited shape-shifting are hampered.

Not really. It's pretty explicit what you can and cannot do.

"You retain the benefit of any features from your class, race, or other source and can use them if the new form is physically capable of doing so. However, you can't use any of your special senses, such as darkvision, unless your new form also has that sense."

Is your new form capable of limited shape-shifting? If not, then you can't do so in that form.

Possibly, although I read very few 3.5 books and they weren't in any 3.0 books I owned.

“Spotty little bits of psionics here and there” is what passed the satisfaction threshold (otherwise it wouldn’t have been published) and is what psionics looks like in 5e. Sorry that’s not to your liking.

They've also only given us the Mystic as an attempt at a psionic class. The Mystic not passing the threshold isn't really proof that another psionic class wouldn't pass. Psionics has quite a bit of support by players.

Sure, they could make a different psionic class. But they already got sufficient positive feedback for the current expression of psionics, so I don’t foresee them taking another crack at a full psy class any time soon. Psy subclasses, feats, and spells aren’t broken, no need to fix them.

this is true, but from what they've said in the last psionic UA, they pretty much gave up on making a full psionic class...
