D&D is doing well. WotC is doing well. Our hobby is thriving, and there are more ways to play than ever before.

D&D 5E is doing well. There’s not much spillover to the rest of the hobby. Other games and other companies are doing about the same as ever or slightly better. Unless they feed into the 5E ecosystem.

From the thread you mentioned: “9 of 13 in the list are designed for D&D 5E.” So about 70%. One of the other 4 is for Avatar Legends. Another for One Ring. Which are both wildly popular franchises. So two of the million dollar RPG Kickstarters are not 5E or attached to wildly popular franchises.

Cool! So 30% of the million-plus Kickstarters are not 5e. Do you think those projects would be doing so well without the current popularity of D&D?

H*ck Hasbros own big budget non D&D RPGs are filled with writers that also put food on the table with 5e.

With the popularity of the Forgotten Realms MtG card set, I'm curious what D&D setting/theme they'll do next, if any.

Imagine if we got a Planescape or Darksun MtG card set before we got either as 5E setting book.
