Leatherhead

Possibly a Idiot.
Hopefully that's where they are going to put the updated Kobold race from Volo's (not the one from the UA). It would be nice to see it in print.

The monster section of Volo's Guide had some great PC-power level Kobolds that I wish had inspired playable races. The incompetent gadgeteer would be fun to play.

Haven't seen this posted before, on the official site: Rules Expansion Gift Set | Dungeons & Dragons

Of note:

Seems to tie in with the idea that the new hobgoblin (and many more - perhaps less changed) are in this.
Yeah, people have done the math, and it appears this is likely going to be all or most of the Races from outside the PHB: basically, all the Monster and Race rules from Volos, Mordenkainen's, and other books without the fluff or Setting elements.

It might be:

Volo's Guide to Monsters
Aasimar
Firbolg
Goliath
Kenku
Lizardfolk
Tabaxi
Triton
Bugbear
Goblin
Hobgoblin
Kobold
Orc
Yuan-Ti Pureblood

Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes
Tieflings (expanded)
Eladrin (Elf)
Sea Elf
Shadar-Kai (also Elf)
Duergar (Dwarf)
Githyanki
Githzerai
Deep Gnome

Elemental Player's Guide
Aarakocra
Genasi

Eberron Rising From the Last War
Possible (not counting repeats from Volo's Guide):
Changelings
Shifters

Less likely because too setting specific:
Dragonmarked PHB races
Kalashtar
Warforged

Guildmasters' Guide to Ravnica
Possible (not counting Volo's Guide repeats):
Centaur
Minotaur

Less likely because too setting specific:
Loxodon (though there's a similiar FR race called the Loxo)
Vedalken (do exist across many MtG settings though)
Simic Hybrid (could be made less setting specific by simply dropping the Simic part)

Mystic Odysseys of Theros
Possible (not counting repeats)
Satyr

Less likely because too setting specific:
Leonin (do exist across many MtG settings though)

I'd say Van Richten's Guide, Witchlight and Strixhaven won't have their races reprinted for this book.

I worry that they will count the subraces as a full entry, going by how Fizbans was done.

In that case, what would the count be from MToF + SCAG + Volos?
Tiefling is example of how some races shouldn't have subraces to represent their varied abilities, with floating ability scores the only thing that differentiates the 8 new bloodlines is spell-like abilities. It should be like "here's some variant choices for Infernal Legacy"

I agree, but have you seen Fizbans dragonborn?
