Alternatives to 5E (I ask for no particular reason...)

I bought / read the AIME books a few years back but had hard time selling it to my players. Great books though.
Miles apart in terms of gameplay are AIME ( which didn't work for me) and TOR, which mirrors the books very well indeed.

Openquest is lighter, and better, version of RQ like game.

WHFRP 4th is interesting, and a bit fiddly actually. The setting is great but I'm not sure of the system ( it's just a little bit full of fail for my liking)

Checking out some reviews on Warhammer. I'd forgotten about it! Curious about level of complexity and so on... we talking 5E level, or PF2 level :p?

I've been running it for a couple months now for a group who had previously played 5E.
My honest appraisal: it's PF2 levels of complexity (if not more so). The core resolution mechanic is pretty simple, but there are many, many, many special cases; numerous conditions; chart-dependency; Toughness/Armor as damage reduction; comparison degrees of success with opposed checks. I honestly couldn't run it without Foundry's automation.

Ugh ok that's a pass for me.
