Thanks, thats one where the translation always tricks me. The words for arc and arch translate to the same word in portuguese so I often get confused.
I figured it was a linguistic thing. I just always feel like a bit of a tool correcting the English of someone who's obviously quite fluent, especially when I've got at best a few words in any other languages.

Both languages get the two words from the same root, if that's any consolation.

I'd argue that the only reasonable assumption is that a Kickstarter creator will do what they said in the Kickstarter they'd do. If we started holding creators to assumptions (reasonable or otherwise) rather than the things they actually promised, we end up in a very strange place.
That's fair and if it was merely a case of people backing with different assumptions about how it was distributed I think I (and many other people) would be a lot more ok with the situation. At that point i would have said they could have been more clear but not put them at fault.

I think the much bigger issue is them using the free trial to cover their promise of getting the first season free. That's the point where I would draw the line of they did something wrong. It also makes me less likely to be charitable to any misunderstanding earlier in the process which is why i brought up what i felt could be a reasonable assumption and point of confusion.

It’s a general human thing. The ease of posting whatever combined with the ease of misunderstanding combined with large groups which are bound to have a few folks have “takes”.
Oh, I don't know. I give out my opinions in person all the time.

I mean... it's hardly just outside the D&D fandom. IIRC, currently on this very site there's a mess of contentiousness surrounding very low-level, low-magic play. Someone around here has even complained that a whole 10% of the game is "wasted" on levels 1 and 2, and that campaigns without magic shops are somehow anathema to enjoyable gaming.
Inexplicable ire, indeed.
There's even someone who doesn't like Bards.
And before that, someone who didn't like Paladins. Especially Gnome Paladins.

Yeah. There are some days that I don't want to read the boards because some of this. But, then, I feel like that with engaging with the general human populous most days.
