I would take this to mean t1 -> t2 as being an 'instant'. It is THE next discrete time where any amount of change has occurred. (This is a Thomistic/Aristotilian understanding of time, where time just is change.)And instantaneous just means that it happens "in an instant", with no definition of what an instant means. Whereas every reading of genre books will tell you that heroes react in microseconds anyway.![]()
So if absolutely nothing changed, then time would not be passing. We distinguish between 'times' by noting that they are composed of different things/properties/arrangements.
