A problem with the miniatures industry.

I'm not saying they need to do everything I want. I'm saying there are enough gamers out there that it shouldn't be unreasonable for minis to represent all body types and appear androgynous. Especially with so many big minis companies out there.

Which is still saying you want them to make what YOU want.

No they dont make all body types.even putting aside androgynous appearance. Not even big name ones. They never have.
They don’t even make all the fantasy ones out there.

I gotta ask, did you even read my OP I made 2 years ago. Or the one I just made? I'm not sure why you keep repeating this. It's about what others want, not just me. I'm a straight white guy in good shape. Believe me, I am represented plenty. I think others need to be as well, and all the folks I talk to have expressed it as well. I don't know if you have your finger on the pulse of modern gamers these days, but representation is sort of a big thing. It's important to a lot of people.

I offered helpful suggestions on how to create miniatures you want, based on experience. Obviously you didn’t bother reading any of it in your tantrum to just keep saying give me what I want.

I did read it, but Blue pretty much already answered, so I didn't bother to give the same answer again. I'm speaking from a business perspective, not what I want alone, but what a lot of people want. I've explained that no fewer than two times already and you are insisting on repeating the same false strawman. Your refusal to see that is no excuse to make personal attacks. It speaks more about you than me.

I came into the thread with the best intentions as someone with decades of miniature experience to offer suggestion on how to make models companies aren’t making.

Instead I find it more helping hand slapped away and spit in my face. Good luck and drop dead

On a related noted, every time I play a female character I go looking for an avatar/portrait using Google image search, or Pinterest. Does ANYBODY draw female fantasy characters that aren't smoking hot? I don't necessarily need hideous but just...normal. The male avatars aren't all devastatingly handsome*, but all the female ones are ethereally beautiful.

*That said, sometimes I'm surprised by which men are considered attractive. "Really...him? Seriously?" So my ability to assess the attractiveness of male avatars may be lacking.

(I reviewed this multiple times to make sure I'm not saying anything disrespectful or objectifying. I don't think I did. If I managed to do that anyway, I apologize.)

No, I totally get what you're saying. It's not easy to find just kinda normal looking people when you're looking through the fantasy art. You want some kinda average build dude with some facial hair and fairly normal clothes? Not a problem. 10000 examples of that. But you want a 20 something female ranger character that doesn't look like she just stepped out of a Vogue magazine? Damn, not easy.

It's pop culture in general. I've been bothered by this for a while. Just look at movies. How many times do you have an older, average or less-than-attractive male in a role, but all female roles are very attractive? Just compare male scientists with female scientists as they appear in film. Or look at couples.
